The Managing Director of Amani Swiss, Irini Karipidis has announced their intention to donate medicines worth USD 1.8 Million to the people of Ukraine. The official announcement of the donation was made on Thursday, August 10, 2023. The organization has partnered with “Coherus Biosciences” and “Direct Relief” to donate to Ukraine.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Greece, Shoutenko Sergii, and the Consul General of Ukraine in Thessaloniki, Sabluk Vadim, were both present at the event. The Porto Palace Hotel, situated in Thessaloniki, Greece served as the venue for the event.
The organization’s Managing Director, Amani Swiss, has announced that they seek to bring practical support to the people of Ukraine. Accordingly, the organization announced that they donated medicines for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and those suffering from acute radiation syndrome.
The Managing director of the Amani Swiss, Irini Karipidis, offered her sympathies to the struggle of Ukraine’s people. She acknowledged that the situation is testing the limits of the country and the people of Ukraine. The situation in the country has resulted in the deaths of thousands of Ukrainians, both soldiers and civilians. Further, thousands more were forced into leaving their homes.
Talking further about the situation in the country, the Managing director of Amani Swiss acknowledged that the struggle has led to the destruction of critical national infrastructure, and basic state services are barely functioning. She admitted that they can not go back in time and fix things as they were in February 2022. However, they can extend their support to the country and the people.
According to Karipidis, our duty and sincere goal is to give and provide as much support as possible. We will always be by your side to support you in any way we can.”
Following the remarks of the Managing director, Ambassador Shoutenko Sergii expressed his sincere gratitude on behalf of the Ukrainian people. He applauded the people of Ukraine for resisting the “bloody and open aggression of Russia.” He appreciated the Ukrainians worldwide for demonstrating resilience and unity despite a common threat to our security and all the values we protected for centuries.
Additionally, he expressed the commitment of Ukraine to continue its relentless fight until the territory of Ukraine is restored in its internationally recognized borders. He asserted that they are thankful to the world and Greece for supporting and assisting Ukraine. He extended his most profound gratitude to thank Aris football club, Amani Swiss, Coherus Biosciences and Direct Reliefe for donating the medical supplies.
