PM Modi: India ready to contribute to peace process in Ukraine

India, Delhi: After meeting Italian PM Giorgia Meloni at a press meeting, PM Modi said, “In the starting, only we noted that the issue of Ukraine will only solve through dialogues and diplomacy. And India was and is fully ready to contribute to any peace process.”

PM Narendra Modi welcomed PM Meloni on her first visit to India, “In the 2022 elections, Italy people supported her and voted for her, and that’s how she became the first youngest women PM of Italy. PM Modi congratulated on behalf of all Indians on her victory.”

The Italian PM is the chief guest and the keynote speaker at the 8th Raisina Dialogue 2023.

This year India celebrates and marks the diamond jubilee of the bilateral ties between India and Italy.

During this particular instance, it has been determined that the partnership between India and Italy shall be granted the status of Strategic Partnership. India intends to enhance its association with Italy in areas such as renewable energy, hydrogen, IT, telecom, semiconductors, and space. The declaration of a Startup Bridge between India and Italy has been made today, which is welcomed by Prime Minister Modi.

He also stated that they were focusing on further boosting economic relations with Italy.

According to PM Modi, “the new campaigns of India like Make in India and โ€˜Artmanirbhar Bharatโ€™ (self-reliant India) are opening immense opportunities for investments in India.”

He also said India and Italy always walk together in order to fight against terrorism and separatism. India and Italy also had a conversation about boosting the cooperation sector.

On Thursday, New Delhi decided to create an action plan in a bid to cherish their 75th anniversary of relations.

In this celebration, they decided to show the achievements of both countries’ diversity, science, technology and history, innovation, sports and other fields on the global stage, said PM Modi.

They also announced the establishment of a Startup Bridge between India and Italy. However, there is no new chapter that is going to begin.
