Bruges, Belgium: A woman named Rachel, AKA Mum With Wanderlust, is a blogger who loves to travel. She shared information about the Bruges Christmas Market.
She took to her official social media account and mentioned in the statement, “It’s small and very sweet. Bruges (or Brugge) in Belgium is absolutely beautiful, and the Christmas lights are gorgeous.”
Along with this, the market itself is held in the market square. There is not much cover so if it rains people will get wet. It was pretty miserable in the rain, to be honest.
They are making the best of it as well as tasting waffles, hot chocolate, tartiflette and a hot dog. Moreover, then they wandered the streets, trying to be festive, with a baby who refused to go in the buggy as the rain got heavier.
Rachel highlighted, “We gave up on sightseeing and ducked into a restaurant to dry off and have a proper dinner. I thought finding a table without having booked would be tricky, but not at all! There were plenty of options. Phew!”
After their meal, the rain had stopped as well as all of a sudden it felt like a different place.
We loved looking in all the Christmassy shop windows, and we found the chocolate shops we wanted to come back to in the morning.
Bruges market is small, and if you want somewhere easy to navigate with kids, it’s perfect. If you want more and bigger, then pair it with a visit to Ghent.
