Belgium: Various groups, trade unions, and Filipino organizations hold a protest in front of the Philippine embassy to highlight the human rights situation in Belgium.
Presidential sister and senator Imee Marcos is part of the delegation composed of other senators & government officials who will meet with parliamentarians of Belgium and European Commission officials, possibly over the expiring EU tariff perks.
Along with this, the GSP+ tariff perks for Philippine products to the EU have been put at risk under Pres. Duterte, after the EU parliament, condemned the human rights situation in the Philippines.
The groups denounced the continuing attacks on activists, human rights defenders, journalists, and critics under the Marcos Jr. administration and demanded an end to the climate of impunity in the Philippines.
