Good to get out on the doors this morning with a politician, Cllr Jonny Jackson, on Bells Hill, Crossgar, to update residents on the work we have been doing to fight for the reinstatement of the street lighting in this area. There is clearly a safety issue and as discussed with locals this morning we are determined to get a positive and safe solution from DfI on this.”
She also shared the FYI- Donard Park car park closed week DAYS for the next two weeks and the post by the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
The Newry, Mourne and Down District Council highlighted that due to essential maintenance works, Donard Park, Newcastle car park and the overflow would be CLOSED from 8 am to 5 pm on Monday 16 to Friday 20 January and Monday 23 to Friday 27 January.

On the other hand, in one of her recent posts, Diane Forsythe highlighted the Energy Support Scheme.
She asserted that the rollout of vouchers has started. Please look out for mail like the example below. This is what the voucher will look like. In some of the cases for the keypad customers, it may be addressed to ‘the occupier’, so please be careful not to discard it as junk mail.
Furthermore, these will be distributed between now and the end of February, so please be patient. Direct debit customers should receive the money.
