Antwerp, Belgium: The month of August witnesses several events and activities taking place in the happening city of Antwerp, including Giants of Royal de Luxe, Museumnacht Antwerpen, Rubensmarkt and much more. The Giants of Royal de Luxe and the Bollekesfeest make August a real party month in Antwerp, but there is much more to experience.

Museumnacht Antwerpen | 5 August
19 Antwerp museums open their doors from 7 pm to 1 am for a programme full of music, performances, workshops and guided tours. From 1 am, visitors can dive into the night during the afterparty at MAS | Museum aan de Stroom. The tickets are available at: www.museumnacht.be/museumnacht-museum-night
Antwerp Pride | 9-13 August
There are many festivities this year, such as the Pride Parade and the Love United Festival. This year’s theme is ‘Braveolution’. Help make Antwerp a brave space where the LGBTQIA+ community can be themselves every day. Know more at www.antwerppride.com/en
Rubensmarkt | 15 August

Bollekesfeest | 18-20 August

Giants Royal de Luxe | 25-27 August
The internationally renowned street theatre company Royal de Luxe once again awakens some giants and brings them to Antwerp! This year it is the turn of the Bull Machin, an impressive bulldog, and his friend. A free spectacle for young and old, as part of the Zomer van Antwerpen city festival. Klassiek aan de Schelde | 26-27 August

As many events are happening in Antwerp this month, visitors are advised to come on foot, by bike or by public transport. If anyone is travelling by a car, since 1 August, only residents with parking permits, certain permit holders and people with disabilities are allowed to park in the historic centre.
