Various individuals expressed their happiness and shared their joy in the comments. One of the users highlighted, “Merry Christmas, happy holidays, happy new year, good enlightenment to you and no compromises. Salaries, gifts, energy, pensions, work all to return to where they were, once, and, not, where they are, now….”
Another user stated, “Many years to come, comrade President, many years to all comrades to all who will participate in the great victorious struggle that we will give, with the victory of the democratic forces of the undefeated struggle against neoliberalism and its expression in Greece, of the right and the far right that embraced strangled all human beings rights. We will win!”
On the other hand, Alexis Tsipras shared another update and mentioned if he was Prime Minister in the country where 85 percent would need “food pass” to live, he would have no face to celebrate this year’s Christmas will, unfortunately, be one of the hardest Christmas of the last decade for the vast majority of Greek society.

This year’s Christmas will, unfortunately, be one of the hardest Christmas of the last decade for the vast majority of Greek society.”
Here is the complete statement of Alexis Tsipras:ย
If I were prime minister in a country where 85% would need “food pass” to live, no I would not have the face to celebrate, but neither would I walk on the street. This is happening today though.ย
They celebrate for the 20 euros a month in the supermarket for 85 percent, not for the weak, that is, for the vast majority of Greek society going through terrible difficulties.
The Greek people, however, do not need insufficient tips. What is required is for justice to be restored.
Need a fair increase in pay and income. Just distribution of wealth and an end to profiteering.
