MEP Brando Benifei will meet Bill de Blasio, the former Mayor of New York, after receiving an unexpected meeting proposal from Former Mayor Bill de Blasio’s collaborators.
Regarding the meeting proposal, MEP Benifei stated, It has been a great pleasure to know that his works are closely following the Artificial Intelligence Regulation and has prompted him to move forward to set a global example of how citizens and workers can be protected from the risks of new technologies, democratizing opportunities for all and without succumbing to the pressure of big technologies.
According to the sources, Bill de Blasio(the original name Warren Wilhelm Jr) is an American Democratic politician who was Mayor of New York City from 2014 to 2021. He also served as Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager for her successful senatorial run in 2000 and as a New York City councillor from 2002 to 2009.
De Blasio proved himself to be politically savvy early in life. As a student activist in high school and college, he advocated for student rights and protested issues such as library hours and nuclear proliferation.
MEP Benifei replied to the invitation from Former Mayor Bill de Blasio and said, “I gladly accepted your invitation to realize together new initiatives and global mobilizations for new rights in the digital age, from work to civil liberties.”
He also added, “See you soon, Mayor!”
