Experts advises to not to follow footsteps of west side countries, It’s endemic

By looking at the current situation, the west side countries are treating the new variant of the COVID-19 Omicron as a minor illness. The Omicron variant is highly-transmissible, which leads to endemic.

The cases of COVID-19 infections are increasing at a rapid pace which has made the officials take mandate actions for making it stop since the previous two years, such as curfews, lockdown, mask mandates and movement restrictions, and the COVID-19 variant is still there, but the authorities are still in a chaotic situation for treating it as the regular flu or not.

The World Health Organisation has made it compulsory not to take the disease lightly as it is the most contagious. It should be considered as endemic, and wearing facial masks is imperative.

Recently, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, mentioned, “As compared to Delta, Omicron is not much serious variant, but it is still making a huge impact as it is killing and affecting the individuals, particularly to the people who are not yet vaccinated.” As per the information provided by the WHO, the majority of the people will get the new variant of COVID-19 Omicron infection as soon as they get into contact with the infected people.

Apart from this, in the United States, various health officials support treating the Omicron variant as a mild cold as they have their first preference is vaccination against the disease.

United Kingdom-based health expert, the former chairman of the nation’s vaccine task force, Dr Clive Dix, mentioned that they have to treat the situation as an endemic stage and as the new variant of the COVID-19 is highly transmissible but treat it as the minor flu.
