Brussels, Belgium – Metro and tram services near Brussels-Midi Station faced major disruptions on Wednesday morning following a shooting incident near Clémenceau Metro station.
Public transport operator STIB confirmed that police ordered the closure of sections of tram lines 4 and 10 and metro lines 2 and 6 at 06:30 as authorities searched for the suspects.
The shooting occurred at approximately 06:15, when two individuals reportedly fired an automatic rifle into the air before fleeing in the direction of the metro station.
