Pulwama: Hundreds of Kashmiris gathered for the last rites of Kashmiri pandit Sanjay Sharma, who was shot dead by terrorists in the local market of Pulwama on Sunday (February 26).

On Sunday, when Sharma was heading to the local market in Pulwama, terrorists attacked and fatally shot Sharma.

Pulwama senior police officials also attended the cremation ceremony of the slain security guard Sharma.

According to the local police officer, “Sharma was shot dead by terrorists in the Anchan area of Kashmir’s Pulwama district on February 26.”

And local residents took the critically injured Sharma to the nearby hospital. However, he caved to his bullet injuries.

Earlier, presumed terrorists had opened fire on a resident, Asif Ganai, outside of a mosque in the Anantnag district. But luckily, he survived the attack.

Moreover, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti slammed the BJP at the centre because of one more murder of the Kashmiri Pandit in the Pulwama district.

Mufti stated, “BJP has failed in protecting the lives of our minorities.”

Mufti also tweeted from her official Twitter account, stating, “BJP has terribly failed in protecting the lives of Kashmiris here. They only use Kashmiris to project an illusion of normalcy in the Valley.”

Furthermore, she also added that “the BJP uses such incidents to stain the “image of Muslims in the country”.

She also wrote, “BJP always use these types of incidents in order to degrade the image of Muslims in the nation. She also criticised the act. This is not the right behaviour of the BJP towards the Kashmiri people. All these acts or crimes speak about the government behaviour,” the PDP chief stated.
