India:ย Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to the co-founder and philanthropist of Microsoft, Bill Gates for his words of appreciation in PM Modi’s monthly radio address ‘Mann Ki Baat”.
India PM Modi thanked Bill Gates through Twitter; he tweeted, “I want to thank my friend Bill Gates for his kind words for my show #MannKiBaat that reflects the collective spirit of the people of the nation to make our planet better, and Bill Gates is also passionate about. The firm resonance with SDGs is highlighted well in the study by @BMGFIndia.”
After PM Modi’s tweet, Bill Gates also responded and said, “Mann ki Batt has catalyzed community-led action on sanitation, women economic empowerment, health and other issues linked to the Sustainable development goals, and also congratulated PM Modi for his 100th episode of Maan Ki Batt.”
Moreover, Indians and Americans also celebrated the 100th episode of PM Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat”.
Indian External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar also decided to tune in to the Mann Ki Baat programme live with the diaspora in New Jersey at 1.30 am (local time) on Sunday, hailing it as a platform that has “an emotional connect” between PM Modi and the people of India.
According to Jaishankar, “10 years ago, if he said at 2:10 midnight to come and assemble at any place, then I will definitely be with you to support, listening to the Prime Minister of India, none of you would have believed me.”
Furthermore, he asserted that PM Modi’s show Mann Ki Batt has an enormous impact on Indians, Not because the medium is 100 years old but because people have a come connection with Modi and his show.”
India’s Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, and the Consul General of India in New York, Randhir Jaiswal, were also present at the event and listened along with Prime Minister Modi. Moreover, the 30-minute programme was also broadcasted at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
India UN Permanent Mission also tweeted and said, “A unique connection was made at the UN Headquarters in New York during a Trusteeship Council event where #MannKiAtBaat100 was broadcasted live. The event left everyone feeling inspired and motivated.”
