Belgium lacks 12,000 rented rooms for students, witnesses hike in price

Belgium: In the new report of Brik, an organization for Dutch-speaking students in Brussels, it was claimed that the capital is in shortage of 9,000 to 12,000 student rooms.

The rent is also increasing, and students prefer to consider their studies in a different course, and the shortage is not witnessing a decline and is only growing. 

Reportedly, there are around 100,000 students who are Dutch speakers and residing in Brussels. The director of Brik also stated that they only expect that the number of the students is growing with the expectation of 30,000 to 54,000 students.

This clearly stated that Brussels is in great need of an extra 20,000 to 55,000 new students room by 2030 as the actual number is hugely dependent upon the exact number with the variable factors. However, he started,” the problem is coming with the massive shortage which needs to be cured as soon as possible.”

With the further increase in the shortage, the capital of Belgium has been topped the chart of being the most expensive city as compared to the other states of the country. 

In the Capital of Belgium, try average Price or rent for a room is stood at 450 Euro, which includes various additional expenses such as bills for multiple appliances etc. The Price of the studio stood at 550 euros, and just due to the incredible hike in the demands, the Price is also witnessing increment.
