Brussels, Belgium: The Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium appreciated Minister of Foreign Affairs Mrs Adji Labib for organizing a plenary meeting of foreign ministers of EU member states in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv.
Usually, the meeting takes place in Brussels. For the first time in the history of the European Union, this meeting was organized in Kyiv to show Belgium’s unwavering support for Ukraine.
Several politicians from both sides and all Foreign Minister from EU states attended the meeting, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Meaningful discussions were held to offer support to Ukraine.
The Ukrainian embassy sincerely thanked Foreign Minister Mrs Hadja Lahbib and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, Mr Jean Asselborn, for the visit to Kyiv and consistent support for Ukraine.
Like Belgium, Luxembourg has come forward to support Ukrainian children and students by donating nine school buses for the needs of pupils of the Kherson region in Ukraine.
Mayor of Luxembourg, Mrs.Lydie Polfer, emphasized that Russian bombings of schools and educational institutions across Ukraine since the beginning of Russian full-scale aggression have left children without access to education.
Many children continue to take lessons in shelters, basements, and subway stations. The new donation of nine buses will be added to the five vehicles transferred in April this year for the needs of Ukrainian children within the framework of the campaign “School Buses for Ukraine”.
After arrival, the buses will be used to transport pupils to schools or guarantee emergency evacuations.
