On Saturday, March 5, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, express his gratitude to the CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk, for showing his support towards his nation by providing the Starlink satellite Internet service.
The president shared a Tweet after he had a word with the SpaceX CEO, “Talked to Elon Musk. I am grateful to him for supporting Ukraine with words as well as action. In the coming week, we will receive another batch of Starlink systems for destroyed cities. ”
Zelensky also mentioned they had a conversation related to the possible space project. “But I’ll talk about this after the war.”
Along with this, Starlink is going to provide help to the people of Ukraine to access the Internet, where the telecommunication networks are down and destroyed because of Russia’s invasion.
The satellite service involves the transmission of Internet data from space using radio signals. The Ground stations transmit the signals to the orbiting satellited, then relay the data to the users on the Earth.
The last week, Elon Musk, the owner of the SpaceX corporation is, a communications company that provides space transport services as well as aerospace manufacturer, has made the announcement that the services have been activated in overall Ukraine by looking at the Internet outages in the areas of the nation due to the attack of Russia.
After Russia invaded Ukraine, the deputy prime minister of Ukraine, along with the minister for digital transformation, Mykhailo Federov, called for support, and after this, the announcement was made.
Furthermore, Federov mentioned in a post on Twitter, “Elon Musk, while you try to colonize Mars – Russia [tries] to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets without any issue land from space – Russian rockets invasion civil people of Ukraine!”
