MEP Assita Kanko expressed deep condolence to Philippe Mathot, a 72-year-old man beaten to death by young people because he asked for a little less plot in France. She also mentioned that we may never allow ourselves to prove that we are the reason these young people would be disadvantaged.
MEP Kanko commented on the young boys involved in the older man’s death and stated that there were no excuses for such behaviour and the chances to beat anyone to death will be forgiven. She extended, “These boys are badly educated, violent and dangerous to us all”.
She emphasized a piece of brief information regarding the death of Philippe Mathot. She added that the older man died from his injuries on Monday night, which shocked the inhabitants of his village.
Regarding this, MEP questioned the general people of Belgium related to Mathot’s death. She asked, “Do they set cars and libraries on fire? ” she responded, No, from the side of Belgian.
“They are mourning the loss of their fellow villager with dignity. It is hardly worth a tiny article in the newspaper. The life of a human being, Rest in peace,”- MEP Kanko remarked.
MEP Kanko expressed her emotions towards Philippe Mathot ‘s family and friends and said, “My thoughts are with his family and friends. The coverage of the horrible death of Philippe Mathot could be more than a short article in the corner of a newspaper”.
MEP Kanko voluntarily took to her official Facebook account to acknowledge Belgium’s general people and those across Europe: “One human life is worth more than the other. I’m just going to make sure.”
She further took to the comment section to highlight the latest condition of the rule of Law. She said, “The rule of Law has been destroying continuously, and we don’t dare stretch out our necks anymore, and it is objectionable.
