Jude Bellingham bagged two more goals as Real Madrid came from behind to defeat FC Barcelona in the first El Clásico of the 23/24 season.
Barca absolutely outplayed Real in a dominant first-half showing as they took a 1-0 lead into the break, with Ilkay Gundogan scoring his first goal for the Blaugrana.
But Los Blancos would come roaring back in the 2nd half thanks to the introductions of Eduardo Camavinga and Luka Modric.
After applying pressure, Bellingham finally equalised for Madrid with a thunderous strike from just outside the area, which nestled in the back of Marc-Andre Ter Stegen’s goal in the 68th minute, and it was game on.
Both teams were going for the win, and the match broke out into end-to-end football, but Los Galacticos would come up trumps as that man again, Jude Bellingham, scored in the 92nd minute, knocking the ball between the legs of the Barcelona goalkeeper to win it at the death after a kind deflection off Luka Modric’s outstretched leg fell into his path.
Madrid are now top of the table in La Liga again but still tied on points with Girona, who won yesterday evening. For Bellingham, all he did was secure another Man of the Match award, making it 13 goals in 13 games for Real Madrid.
Additionally, he became the first player to score in his La Liga debut, Champions League debut and El Classico debut. Another milestone for the new Madrid star as he has already scored three times in 90+ minutes for Real Madrid, becoming a perfect clutch player for the club.
