Belgium: Proximus to launch internet offering speed up to 10 Gbps by this year

In Belgium, currently, the telecommunications organisation named Proximus has decided to introduce an internet that offers a speed of up to 10 Gbps which is approximately
ten times faster as compared to the current top speed on the Belgian market.

By the end of the year, the telecom operator is working on launching an internet subscription with a speed of 10 Gbps on the market for the consumers and the companies. As per CEO Guillaume Boutin, “The company wants to showcase its supremacy in the field of network.”

Meanwhile, it has been mentioned that not all the customers of the Proximus fibre-optic will be able to reach the top speed instantly. This depicts the information that this offer will not be open for all of the customers at the starting.

Along with this, Boutin mentioned, it is not yet identified in what amount or in which location will the first that will have the advantage from the internet faster, but “The end of 2022 is still a long way off.”

And the people who give more preference to the price compared to the speed, Proximus is introducing a new internet subscription onto the market, including the Internet Essential costs €25/month for 100 GB of volume and 50 Mbps download speed.

Furthermore, the internet start, which costs with the maximum amount of €27.5, has been replaced by the formula. The individuals who have access to a fibre optic connection will also subscribe, but they have to wait for a few months more.
