Yolanda Díaz shares update on Spanish-Portuguese Summit

Second Deputy Prime Minister of Spain- Yolanda Díaz, who is also a Minister of Labour and Social Economy, shared the update of the SpanishPortuguese Summit in which they signed the Activity Plan with 27 new collaborations.

She issued an official statement in which it was outlined that, “At the Spanish-Portuguese Summit, we signed the Activity Plan for the 2023-2024 period, with 27 new collaborations. Today we ratify our magnificent relationship and take a qualitative leap to protect working people in Portugal and Spain.”

 

They are working on to build strong relations between Portugal and Spain. It also signified that they would take care of the protective measures for the citizens of Spain and Portugal.

Along with this, Yolanda Díaz mentioned in the statement that they have also signed the Cross-Border Work Guide to facilitate mobility between both countries.

They also want to expand labour rights on both sides of a border that is not a dividing line, but instead, it is a Raia that sews a common future.

Also, Yolanda Díaz had the pleasure of meeting with the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security-Ana Mendes Godinho, at the XXXIII Spanish-Portuguese Summit in Viana do Castelo.

She mentioned in the statement that, in the Spanish-Portuguese Summit, they deepened bilateral cooperation in social and labour matters. “Our countries are and want to continue to be protagonists in the transformation of Europe.”
