Valerie Ann Bertinelli, the American television personality has very bravely reacted to the ones who are passing their mean comments on her weight gain.
The actress shared an emotional post and amazingly shut down the online trolls and clarified that no one has a right to comment on the bodyweight of others.
Ann wrote, “Someone … decided to point out that I needed to lose weight. Because see, I don’t have a scale or I don’t have clothes that I’m trying to put on every day and I don’t have mirrors so I don’t see what’s become of me.”
The TV Personality, 61 in an ironic way posted a video, via her Instagram handle on Thursday. She also noted, “So I needed that help to let me know that I need to lose weight.”
Notably, Valerie clearly said that such opinions are just not helpful when people share their negative comments on the body of others.
She added to her statement and said, “Because when you see somebody who has put some weight on, my first thought is, ‘That person is obviously going through something.”
In 2020, the star lost her ex-husband, Eddie Van Halen, and claimed, “I could lose the weight and keep it off.”
Additionally, Valerie Ann claimed, “But since I haven’t been successful with that my whole entire life — at 61 I’m still dealing with [it]. Do you think I’m not tired of it, lady? Where is the compassion? Not f–king helpful.”
Previously, in 2020, Ann wrote an essay for ‘Today,’ and therein she noted that her parents’ death loss has also affected her weight.
That time, she stated, “I’ve used food as a way not to feel the sadness or the stress. But by eating something away, all it does is make me feel worse about myself. One of my personal mottos is ‘choose happily.’ But sometimes that choice is really challenging.”
