Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Snake Island in the Black Sea in the Odesa region of Ukraine. During their attack on Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had retaken the island from Russia a year prior.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to the soldiers in a morning address on Saturday on the 500th day of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy took to his official Facebook account to extend thanks. He stated, “Each of our soldiers … Our Armed Forces, our intelligence, the National Guard, our border guards, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police, our liaison officers, our people … I thank you! Thank you to everyone who fights for Ukraine … We will definitely win,”.
During the Russian invasion, President Zelenskyy gave a speech on the island. He mentioned that soldiers defending Snake Island in the Black Sea responded defiantly to the Russian order to surrender. Despite Russia eventually seizing the island, Ukraine has since reclaimed it.
According to sources, President Zelenskyy spoke of the sacrifices made by the soldiers who had fought so bravely to defend their homeland, and he vowed that Ukraine would never forget their courage and sacrifice.
Furthermore, The United States disclosed its plans to provide cluster munitions to Ukraine. Meanwhile, NATO’s leader stated that the military alliance will convene next week to discuss how to bring Ukraine closer to becoming a member On Friday.
