COVID-19 cases across Germany is facing upward trend, says minister

In Germany, the Health Minister named Karl Lauterbach stated that currently, the nation is facing an unfortunate situation, as the cases of the COVID-19 infection is showing an upward trend in this current week.

He advised all of the German ministers to reconsider the decision of lifting up the measures against COVID-19. This week, the individuals getting infected from the infection have again set a record.

As per the sources, the minister mentioned that in the cases of individuals getting infected from the COVID-19 variant is enormously raised, the situation is named as critical. The maximum number of casualties is also included.

Moreover, Lauterbach asserted that the nation is required to take appropriate measures because it has been indicated that, in the coming week, more individuals will face death if the situation remained the same as before when the cases were constantly increasing.

Along with this, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), which is the German body that is accountable for disease prevention and control, has informed that the Western European country has reported 198,888 latest cases of the confirmed cases of the COVID-19 on March 14 Monday.

Germany has noticed over 1,585,400 new infection cases since the previous week.

As per the data from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), around 90.4 percent of the overall adult population in Germany has already received their primary vaccination.

Additionally, the same results indicate that another 68.7 percent have also received the additional dose of the vaccination.

Before, the authorities have declared that the nation would gradually relax the majority of the domestic COVID-19 rules and regulations by March 20.

Furthermore, German authorities continuously follow the COVID-19 entry rules for travellers from different nations.

The country has given permission to all of the travellers that have provided that they follow the entry restrictions.

The people travelling from the European Union or the Schengen Area along with those from the third nation can get access in Germany without following any additional measures if they have a valid vaccination, recovery, or test certificate.
