Member of European Parliament Tom Berendsen, shared his agendas for the plenary week in Strasbourg. He shared the current status of the European Parliament. He stated that the work of the European Parliament is continued for a short time.
MEP Berendsen took to his official Facebook account and shared his plans regarding European ammunition production. He stated, “On Monday, we will vote on the Act in Support of Ammunition Production (ASAP), the proposal to increase European ammunition production”.
Furthermore, he emphasised the highlights of consequences that happened because of the war in Ukraine, which have been mentioned below:
- The necessary supplies have been depleted
- Dependence on parties outside the EU
- Ukraine and the general people are vulnerable.
Due to the consequences that have occurred because of the war in Ukraine, MEP Tom Berendsen suggests that the general people of the Netherlands have to increase their production, and we’ll fix that with this law.
MEP Berendsen will be voting on the Chips Act on Tuesday. He extended that they must work hard to reduce their dependence on other countries for computer chips.
By appreciating the people of the Netherlands, MEP Berendsen stated that the Netherlands also plays an important role in working hard to reduce the dependence on other countries for computer chips, with a number of large companies and a few SME companies in the chip chain.
