Moreover, the nationโs Health Minister mentioned in the statement, โThe improvement of the epidemiological situationโ in Spain and the other European countries and Spainโs high vaccination rate were the reasons for the relaxation.
Over the previous seven days, 282 individuals aged 60 or over tested positive for COVID-19 in Spain. The people under 60 have not had to be tested (or quarantined) for some of the time.
Along with this, at this time, face masks are only important on public transport and in residential care homes and other healthcare institutions.
From the start of June, Italy also decreased its requirement for tourists to present a valid vaccination, test as well as recovery certificate.
In addition, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Greece have recently also abolished their travel restrictions, as have the Scandinavian nations, Switzerland, Austria, Czechia, Slovenia and Croatia.
Furthermore, other popular holiday destinations in Europe, such as France, Germany and Portugal, as well as Turkey, still have some restrictions in force.
While most nations have already lifted all of the COVID-19 rules and regulations for coming travellers in the holiday season, a maximum number of nations are still imposing some entry rules on tourists this summer.
