In the International flight from Italy to Amritsar, 125 passengers have been tested positive for the COVID-19. According to the information provided by VK Seth, while all the individuals who arrived at the Amritsar airport who were part of that flight, they all were tested positive for COVID-19.
As per the sources, on Wednesday, at 1:30 pm, on the Italy-Amritsar flight YU-661, one hundred seventy-nine passengers were travelling on the flight which landed at the Amritsar airport.
Union Health Ministry stated that Italy is a risky country as many consider it one of the most affected nations in terms of COVID-19 infections. There were around 160 individuals who had been tested on arrival.
After which, one hundred twenty-five people have been tested positive for the infection, along with 179 people, 19 were juveniles, so the RT-PCR test was not meant for them on arrival.
The Portuguese EuroAtlantic Airways company further mentioned that it operated the flight between Milan and Amritsar.
In the Amritsar airport, there was a lot of chaos as there were many people and they were waiting to leave the airport, and the police officers were trying to control the crowd as there could be a systematic manner. The people who were tested positive were asked by the authorities why they tested positive because there were having negative results in Italy.
Meanwhile, as per the sources, in Europe, most people are infected with the COVID-19 virus. However, the Omicron infection is highly transmissible, spreading rapidly.
Apart from this, there are a total of 67.6L cases in Italy and a total case 29.8Cr worldwide, and on the other hand, there are 1.38L death in Italy and 54.7L death globally.
