The replacement of two essential switches at Beekkant station will disrupt service on metro lines 1, 2, 5, and 6. This maintenance work will affect all metro traffic in the area, impacting a significant number of passengers during the long weekend
The new line will connect seamlessly with multiple other transport options. Passengers will have access to various bus lines, including 47, 53, and 56, and will also be able to transfer to several tram lines (4, 7, 18, and 51), the metro (lines 1-5 and 2-6), and train services at both the North and Midi Stations
STIB spokesperson Guy Sablon commented, "Given the one million daily passengers and over 50 million kilometers traveled annually, these figures are reassuring. However, every fall is one too many and should be prevented whenever possible"
