Greece: The prosecutor's investigation into Baida al-Saleh, the woman who allegedly invented and spread the fake news from the island of Evros, is in full progress. The 27-year-old Syrian now lives in Germany but has not filed an asylum request in the country.
Japan: The joint air defence exercise between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Japan Air Self Defence Force (JASDF), referred to as Exercise' Veer Guardian 2023', came to an end on January 26 in Japan. The objective of the exercise was to foster friendly relations between the IAF and the JASDF and to strengthen air defence collaboration between the two air forces.
India: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted and thanked Bhutan counterpart Lotay Tshering for his warm wishes and message to India on its Republic Day. In a revert message, Modi wrote, "India is always known for its unique partnership with its neighbour."
Belize – The European Union, together with the Ministry of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries, today officially inaugurated the new Laboratory Spaces for Histopathology and Toxicology at the Belize National Forensic Science Service (NFSS) and handed over the state-of-the-art scientific and medical equipment that will greatly enhance the NFSS capacity moving forward.
