Dortmund, Germany: Before the beginning of the friendly match between Germany and France, the German supporters silenced French fans chanting ‘MESSI MESSI’ outside the stadium and waved the Argentine’s portrait with Balon d’Or’s and World Cup trophy printed on it.
Fortunately, there was no heated argument between German and French football fans outside ‘Signal Iduna Park’, the home ground of German Football Club, ‘Borussia Dortmund’.
The chants followed the FIFA World Cup final in Qatar 2023, where Argentina overthrew France and claimed the World Champion title. The German fans teased chanting ‘MESSI MESSI’ outside the stadium before the kick-off.
Despite being teased for the World Cup loss, the French supporters were seen enjoying the moment with German fans and no brawl or heated argument occurred.
The 2018 World Cup winners chanted les Bleus and teased Germany back for being eliminated in the group stage for two consecutive World Cups. France is the only team to play two consecutive World Cup finals.
The Les Bluez won in 2018, defeating Croatia, and lost in 2022 against Argentina. The World Cup memories remain fresh in the minds of Football lovers. Yesterday’s night didn’t go well for French fans.
The away fans first get teased by Germans and then lose the game. Two goals from German veteran Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane stunned former champions in the friendly match at Dortmund, Germany.
