Washington [US]: Following the successful reelection of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the prospect of extending his influence across the globe began on a sour note as FBI counterintelligence forces raided a New York office building believed to be secretly housing Chinese “police” units, as reported.

The raid happened at the American “Changle Association” headquarters, a non-profit organization aiming to help Chinese nationals in New York.

As per the reports of the Nepali website, the ex-chairman of this group was Lu Jianshun, who donated USD 4,000 in 2021 to Eric Adams’s mayoral campaign.

There is an existence of China secret Police which is located on the third floor of the organization building. This division is connected to the overseas unit codenamed 11, located in the Chinese province of Fujian.

When the FBI raided at the acupuncturist’s office about the “secret police station,” the team of secret police seemed surprised.

During the raid, the office was closed, and the people they spoke to in the area reported that it was rarely open.

Reports also indicated that the Chinese police station’s existence in the US and elsewhere came about due to reporting from Safeguard Defenders, a Europe-based human rights organization.

In 2022, September, Madrid-based Safeguard Defenders released its analysis of 110 overseas โ€“ China’s Transnational Policing Gone Wild, followed later by case studies of how such stations had been used in persuasion operations in Spain and Serbia, as per the reports of NYT.
