Paris, France: Several buildings belonging to Jews living in France have been marked with the ‘Star of David’ by antisemites, imposing a danger to the French Jews of being attacked by anti jewish supporters.
The majority of the Jews living in the northern Paris suburbs are staying indoors because they are afraid of the rising number of antisemitic incidents occurring around France.

The threat has escalated since Jews used to restrict their movements, only visiting specific locations and gathering essentials for their homes. Now, with their houses marked by “Star of David,” the threat has increased.
In the last three weeks, there have been more antisemitic events in France than ever recorded in previous years. Almost 501 offences, including verbal abuse, antisemitic graffiti, physical attacks, and threats of death, have been recorded.
The investigated antisemitic includes incidents like gatherings in front of synagogues where people yell abusive language and graffiti outside a stadium in Carcassonne, southwest France, that reads, “Killing Jews is a duty.”
Since the attacks, the interior minister has sent more police and soldiers to Jewish schools, houses of worship, and community centres; in Sarcelles, troops are deployed to watch over school pick-up and drop-off times.
The Jewish religion has faced persecution throughout history, and such acts show a regression that harks back to such times. This is part of the reason why Jewish people have begun to feel at risk once again.
In 19th century, the symbol was widely used among Jewish communities of Eastern Europe, used to represent Jewish identity and beliefs. The star painted on Jewish homes in Paris will ease antisemites to identify Jewish people in the region, increasing the threat to an immense level for Jews.
The Jewish communities demanded protection and immediate arrest of the perpetrators, posing a threat to Jewish communities in various regions of France.
