Brazilian man, 54, shoves dumbbell in his rectum, surgeons removed it

A 54-year-old man from Brazil has shoved a dumbbell in his rectum, and the surgeons worked out to remove that from his body, as per the sources.

The 54-year-old is not identified yet, and he waited for about two days before looking for medical attention from the health officials after failing to extract the 2kg metal weight by himself.

He turned up at the health care centre in Manaus complaining of abdominal pain, nausea, and inability to defecate.

Moreover, after an examination of his rectal region has discovered no sign of what might be causing his symptoms, the doctors have ordered an X-ray of his abdomen.

The Medics that have suggested the unusual case was of a ‘sexual nature’ mentioned that the man was ‘uncooperative’ during the physical examination.

Along with this, the X-ray revealed a dumbbell, which was almost 8 inches long (20cm), was lodged where the colon.

The X-ray disclosed the information that the rectum inside the body includes a dumbbell, which was about 8 inches long (20cm), as well as was entered where the colon connected to the rectum.

In addition, medics tranquillized the male for their tried extraction, including the surgical tweezers, but they could not take off or remove the dumbbell.

Left with no other option, the team chose for the ‘manual extraction’, involving the surgeon shoving in their ‘forearm’.

Meanwhile, the doctors mentioned that the maximum number of patients that are admitted with the retained rectal objects are white men between the age of 20 to 40.

Sexual gratification is the most commonly highlighted cause of such incidents in which the objects get stuck.

Furthermore, the medical officials stated that the majority of the patients only turn up to A&E after constant failed attempts for a long time to extract the objects by themselves.
