India, Kashmir: The District Administration of Baramulla organized a Snow Festival as part of their Winter Carnival in MundDaji Rafiabad, located in an untapped tourist destination, in order to encourage and investigate tourism opportunities.
As per the reports, the event is going to witness huge gatherings of youth with the enthusiastic participation of athletes and other stakeholders from across the district and state.
While speaking occasionally, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar, said that MundDaji and adjoining locations will be promoted as tourist destinations, creating employment opportunities for local youth.
MundDaji has a huge potential to attract worldwide tourists, said DC Syed Sehrish Asgar. And the festival is already getting a tremendous response, not only from the local level but also from adventure lovers as well.
The local residents of Kashmir seemed jubilant and praised the Kashmir government for organizing the first of its kind Snow festival in MundDaji Rafiabad.
The event was also organized with colourful cultural performances and snow sports activities like camping, snow trekking, and sledge photography. Also, it displayed local cuisine, which was the main highlight of the event day.
The Civil Society Rafiabad welcomed DC Baramulla and other district officers at the gateway to Rafiabad.
The carnival evoked tremendous response and started a wave of enthusiasm among youth and adventure lovers to visit the wonderland of MundDaji in Rafiabad.
On occasion, various line departments also installed their stalls to showcase services being provided by the departments
Later, the congratulations ceremony was held, during which various stakeholders were felicitated.
