Ubisoft announces online game subscription service UPlay Plus for PC and Google Stadia

Nowadays every game publisher is putting its hands into the subscription business, and the latest publisher is Ubisoft. Ubisoft during today’s E3 2019 press conference announced the online gaming service UPlay Plus. The gaming service will be available for the PC platform, and it will provide access to more than 100 Ubisoft-published titles. The report says that Ubisoft has designed the service similar to Xbox Game Pass from Microsoft and Origin Access from EA.

With UPlay Plus, gamers will have to pay a flat monthly fee following which they will get unlimited access to an array of titles which they can download and play.

Our news sources have reported that the online gaming service from Ubisoft is pretty much on the pricier side as compared to its competitors. Users who want to subscribe with the service will have to pay $14.99 per month following it will be launched on September 3rd. Talking about the contenders in the market, EA / Origin Access is available only at $4.99 per month and $29.99 per year, and Xbox Game Pass from Microsoft is selling at $9.99 on both console and PC.

Microsoft besides selling Xbox Game Pass is also selling Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which provides access to both console and PC and also offers a subscription to Xbox Live Gold for just $14.99. Microsoft is providing all these things at a price which is similar to Ubisoft’s new service, which is only for PC.

Ubisoft, in one of the statements, mentioned that the online service would provide access to the players to all downloadable content and expansions for games included in the subscription.
