Nepal: Three Nepalese women were struggling because two Chinese men accused them while they were on their way home. In November, when they were returning from Laos, the two Chinese followed them, filed a complaint against them, and the police arrested them and sent them to jail.
And that case became the headline in Nepal the following month because that was cross-border trafficking. As women claim, “We anyhow survived there, but the Chinese were searching for them via their secret agents because their business got spoiled because of that complaint.”
She further said she is still in touch with the Chinese workers at the call centre, and they continuously exploit her through calls. Lalita, which is not her real name, stated, “I was informed by one of my friends from China that four more Nepalis had been drafted. I fear what might happen to them.”
The woman made some shocking revelations in which she said the Chienses network has involvement in Nepal human trafficking through several other countries. But, the Chinese have remained silent about digital frauds, girl child trafficking, illegal gaming, drugs, etc.
The Nepal police had arrested the Chinese nationals on the charge of being involved in human trafficking. They charged for alluring three Nepali citizens to visit Laos through Thailand or India on September 1 and offered them free tickets and visas for online sales and marketing jobs in Laos.
Reports also indicated that the accused belonged to Thamel, and he searched for months to months to find suitable girls to trafficking them to foreign countries. They were arrested after three girls, and their parents filed an FIR. The Chinese nationals had drawn them to Laos on the pretext of providing them with attractive jobs and charged them 400,000 Nepalese rupees.
They always prefer to do trafficking via rural areas. They used to take interviews by doing false promises to provide them with a good job. In Laos, they forced them to work in Call centres, bought them SIM cards and created fake IDs on social media platforms. They even seized their passports.
