COVID-19 update: Italy logs 75,861 new cases, 325 deaths

A total of 75,861 people have been contracted the deadly viral infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 over the past 24 hours in Italy on Thursday, February 10, 2022, as per the health ministry of the country.

On the other hand, as many as 81,367 people have been exposed to the viral infection due to the novel coronavirus on the previous day in the country.

As per the status of deaths, the number of people who have lost their lives due to the COVID-19 viral infection over the past 24 hours was 325 in Italy on Thursday.

While a total of 384 people have succumbed to the contagious mutant on the previous day on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

Since the pandemic of the COVID-19 has emerged in the country, as many as 150,221 people have lost their lives due to the viral infection caused by the novel coronavirus in Italy.

With the emergence of so many deaths, the country stood at the second position in the tally of the fatalities reported in Europe after Britain due to the viral infection of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, the country has attained the eighth highest standing in fatalities across the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The number of confirmed cases of the viral infection due to the novel coronavirus has reported a total of 11.92 million cases since the pandemic has outbreak in the country.

As per the status of the admission of the patients of the COVID-19 in the hospital, as many as 17,354 people have been admitted to the hospital over the past 24 hours on Thursday. On the other hand, the number of admissions of patients due to the viral infection of the novel coronavirus was 17,932 on the previous day.

Meanwhile, a total of 683,715 samples have been processed with the test against the COVID-19 viral infection over the past 24 hours on Thursday, as per the health ministry of Italy.
