The third-generation monkeypox vaccine, produced by the Danish company Bavarian Nordic, has been acquired by the Commission, according to Stella Kyriakides, European Health Commissioner, who made the announcement on Monday. The EU has obtained over 54,530 doses of vaccines.

Russia's consumer rights watchdog said on Tuesday that a young man who had just returned from Europe had the country's first incidence of Monkeypox.

The health minister of France made an announcement on Friday about a preventive vaccination campaign for the most vulnerable groups to curb an outbreak of the monkeypox epidemic following the confirmation of the 721 cases has been made by the public health authority.

A maximum of 52 confirmed cases of monkeypox have been registered so far, the health institute Sciensano made the announcement. With about 1,500 cases in the continent, Europe is the Epicentre of the outbreaks, and the World Health Organisation (WHO) is concerned about the further spread of the virus.

The United Kingdom have recently recorded 104 new cases of monkeypox virus. The recent spike in cases raised the overall tally to 470 cases. Most of the cases have been detected in gay or bisexual men, as per the sources.
