Pamela, a tour guide in Singapore, shared her travelling experience to Müchen, Deutschland, Germany. She has travelled to many countries, and recently she visited Belgium.
On day 68, in Müchen, Germany, she mentioned in the statement that it was a beautiful day to head out exploring the city. Took the metro into the city centre. She was soaked up a bit of the sunshine by Siegestor before catching a glimpse of a student’s life by checking out the classrooms of a university and having lunch in the cafeteria.
Along with this, she checked out Hofgarden, formally a royal garden. The place is huge, and she was happily walking along the path in the beautiful, romantic as well as well-manicured garden.
Pamela had a beer and tried her first glühwein at a beer garden by the Viktualienmarkt. It was touristic but still fun to people-watch.
She explored the old town, as well as she even found the city’s one and only river surfing by the park. It was really cool. Moreover, she said, “I know they’ve got their wetsuit on, but really, there is no sense of cold for these surfers when I was all wrapped up nicely. “
After dinner, she pushed herself out of her comfort zone by going to a German sauna for the first time.
She further highlighted the statement, “At first, it was a little awkward and uncomfortable, but I got over it rather quickly, and yeah, I going to do what the locals do. What can I say? Cultural immersion, and at least I did it!”
On the other hand, on Day 69- there was Rainy morning, put her in the Alte Pinakothek, an art museum with more than 700 pieces of artwork between the 14th century and to 18th century.
Art galleries are either a hit or miss for me, but she concluded that art museums are more fun with someone who has in-depth knowledge of those art pieces. She liked to be impressed.
She said, “Thankfully, the weather got better in the afternoon when it was time for the free walking tour of the old town of Munich. Discovered so much more of the history and great recommendations of the city.”
Also, Pamela celebrated her belated birthday with a Bavarian meal as well as this was when she discovered Kartoffelklöße, potato dumplings. “Omg, they were delicious! I love them!”
