Silvio Berlusconi, the former prime minister of Italy and a billionaire, passed away on June 12 at 86 due to leukaemia and shared his unsealed will today, July 7. In his will, he left €100 million to his 33-year-old girlfriend and the control of his family holding company, Fininvest, to his two eldest children.
The late Italian prime minister, who held the position three times and had an estimated empire worth over €6bn, left €100m to his brother Paolo and €30m to Marcello Dell’Utri, a former senator affiliated with his Forza Italia party, who had previously served jail time for association with the mafia.
According to a recently unsealed will, Marina and Pier Silvio, the children from Silvio’s first marriage to Carla Elvira Dall’Oglio, will jointly own 53% of Fininvest on Wednesday night.
Additionally, A deputy from Forza Italia named Fascina, who is 33 years old, started a romantic relationship with Berlusconi in 2020. They had a ceremony that was symbolic of marriage in March of 2022. Berlusconi reportedly referred to Fascina as his “wife” on his deathbed.
Furthermore, Forza Italia’s Berlusconi wrote his will by hand on a yellow notepad marked with the letterhead of his mansion near Milan, Villa San Martino, and signed it on October 2 of last year before returning to government in a coalition led by Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party.
According to sources, the decision regarding Fininvest was made in 2006. In the will, former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi stated that he would leave the available stock equally to his children Marina and Pier Silvio. He also mentioned that he would leave the rest of his assets equally to his five children, including Marina, Pier Silvio, Barbara, Eleonora, and Luigi.
In a letter, Berlusconi shared his love for his children and instructed how to distribute the inheritance between Fascina and Dell’Utri. He ended the letter with a thank you and expressed his love for all his children.
